Activities
For each of the following videos:
1. Watch them and then Re-Create your own version using the given files
3. Upload your .ai and.jpg to the classroom for completion marks.
MUST WATCH - Workspace
Students will learn the workspace of Illustrator.
Video will walk through the different menus, workspace presets, toolbars, etc.

Students will also learn how to create multiple artboards.

Of you accidently delete your panels, there is a quick technique to bring them back in this video.

This is a must watch before you start your tutorials.

1.Illustrator Tutorial -
Shapes #1
Students will learn how to use the shapes tool.
Class Assignment - Students download the worksheet and File > Open in Illustrator. Upon completion, upload your illustrator file to the classroom for completion marks.
In the newest version of illustrator, you may not see the Control Pallet.
Click on the top menu WINDOW, then WORKSPACE, then Layout and it will now be seen.

2.Illustrator Tutorial -

Students will learn how to use the shapes tool.
Class Assignment - Students download the worksheet and File > Open in Illustrator. Upon completion, upload your illustrator file to the classroom for completion marks.

How to use the pen tool
Students will learn how to use the pen tool, create lines, adjust paths, and adjust bezier curves.

Pathfinder
Students will learn how to use the pathfinder and arrange objects.
Class Assignment - Students will create the Elmo.
DO NOT need to create Cookie Monster.

Students will learn how to create clipping paths for the boom box assignment.

Here you will explore illustrator further. Find an image online and learn how to trace it.

Here you will explore how to align objects. It is very important that you watch this video as it can take your projects to the next level.
